A German design student, Rebecca Weiss, has designed an innovative male contraceptive device that uses ultrasound waves to prevent sperm regeneration momentarily. The device is called Coso, and it is straightforward to use.
A person fills the device with water, waits for the water to reach a certain temperature, and then places their testicles in the device for a few minutes. The effectiveness takes two weeks to kick in after the first use and lasts for roughly six months.
Rebecca Weiss began designing the male contraceptive pill after being diagnosed with cervical cancer, which meant she could no longer take a female contraceptive. Once realizing there were no male contraceptive alternatives for her partner, she began exploring alternatives as a part of her master's thesis.
