Robinsons’ Juice Ad is Sure to Make You Shed a Tear or Two
Ian Andrew Panganiban — May 8, 2013 — Marketing
There are commercials out there that will warm your heart and make you weep—I’ve definitely had my fair share of those—and there are those commercials that just relate to people at an emotional level, and that’s what Robinsons’ juice ad does. Robinsons is a British juice drink company owned by Britvic.
The video starts with these two boys mucking about; it’s simple and sweet. As the scenes get played out, there a small moments in the video where it showcases the other boy acting particularly caring and nurturing towards the other boy. At the final scene, it’s revealed that the reason for the behavior is that they’re father and son.
I can’t quite put my finger on why this video resonated with me on a such an emotional scale and I’m sure if it made me cry, a couple dozen of people will cry as well.
