Computer electronics giant Intel offers its employees a unique sabbatical program called 'King of Benefits.' The program works by offering long-term employees a fully paid eight-week sabbatical for every seven years that they have worked at the company.
No doubt, this is an amazing perk and a significantly greater amount of time off than is typically offered by companies with similar vacation programs. However, Intel makes it an even sweeter deal by offering added flexibility. For example, every employee can choose to take a four-week sabbatical for every four years that they have spent at the company. Moreover, Intel workers are not forced to take their sabbaticals immediately or even within a specific year. Rather they have up to three years to take the time off.
