Prior to COVID-19, filming for a new Huggies ad was planned to commence, however before the brand could get the footage it needed, strict social distancing measures were required to prevent the spread of the virus.
To make the commercial, Huggies came up with a plan to ensure safety protocols were adhered to—and sought out videographers who met a number of unique requirements. In addition to making hiring choices based on those who had the skill sets needed to get the right shots, the brand looked for videographers who had children of a specific age range that they would be comfortable putting in the ad. Be The Fox, the production company, put out the posting, and was surprised to see that over 100 applicants responded. The videographers captured the footage at home, and team members communicated via video conferencing to ensure the success of the campaign.
With this endeavor, Huggies shows that when needed, even ad campaigns that would typically see dozens of people on set in a day can be done remotely.
