Proceeds from ASAI's Hot Wok Dress Will Be Donated
Ellen Smith — June 3, 2020 — Fashion
The London-based designer ASAI is supporting racial injustice by donating the proceeds from his iconic 'Hot Wok' dress to three charities: Black Lives Matter, Solace Women’s Aid and The Voice of Domestic Workers.
Currently, the only person who owns the dress is Rihanna, but in light of global protests, the designer has decided to put the dress on the market for consumers as a means of raising funds for deserving charities and initiatives. Consumers will be able to purchase this once-exclusive fashion item for approximately $375 USD through the designer's Instagram. The design sent waves through the fashion community since it hit the runway in 2017, with items from the line being sported by Steve Lacy, Jorja Smith, Dev Hynes.
