Seoul-based design studio AOA Architects designs the Hoji Gangneung, which is a series of unique concrete dwellings that are formed to connect. It is resting on a raised path in a circular form and is located in the South Korean countryside of Gangwon-do. It is comprised of a main family house for the owner with three guest homes and a community building. One of these homes is dubbed the Round House and it has a unique semi-circle shape.
Another one embodies an octagon shape and a courtyard in the middle. The two other residences and the communal building are made in a rectangular floor plan -- each one with a different roof shape. A mono-pitch roof tops the communal building, a gable roof another, and the Long House has a gable roof with a skylight.
