IKEA continues to build on its philosophy of "Life at Home' with the slowly integrating Hej!Workshop coworking spaces. It is also backed by the purchasing malls, food courts with a unique twist, and play areas that are catered for kids.
In San Francisco's 945 Market St location, there is a Hej!Workshop, which is a 46,000-square-foot coworking space that is made with Industrious. This office-like area is decorated with IKEA furniture and is the second Hej!Workshop to open following the first is in Stockholm, Sweden. Ingka Group is working with smaller IKEA locations. Jens Nielsen, global commercial and digital director notes “Our meeting places are evolving to stay relevant to modern lives, and I’m excited by all the ways in which we’re working with communities to tailor our experiences to their needs."
