Heath Ledger's hipster bar and restaurant, Five Leaves, is open. This was Heath Ledger's pet project before his death.
Converting a tiny bar and restaurant in Brooklyn and trying to make it hip was Heath Ledger's passion. The designer that brought Ledger's dream alive is the same dude that did Moto, Smith and Mills and Tailor--all urban hotspots.
Five Leaves is lightly steampunked, with Edison-like handmade light fixtures, a massive steel door on the bathroom and walls covered in steel. The coffeehouse/oyster bar loves greenmarket gnoshes like Sliced Radishes on Toast with Evans Farmhouse Butter.
