Architecture firm YOD Group revealed its latest design project - the new Buddha-Bar restaurant in New York City.
The restaurant is a two-storied space that serves Asian cuisine in Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood. The idea of reincarnation inspired the design. To achieve this theme, the architects drew inspiration from the original Buddha-Bar restaurant that opened in Paris in 1996.
Materials such as glass, metal, and parametric sculptures make the space feel futuristic and mysterious. In addition, 3-dimensional art projections create light holograms all over the restaurant, which further evoke a futuristic aesthetic. Large-scaled metal pendant lights finished the main dining room and were created by designer Kateryna Sokolova. The lights somewhat resemble drones flying throughout the air.
The design is in keeping with the brand's aesthetic and perfectly fits the New York City restaurant scene.
