Rising British singer-songwriter Findlay Brown has released a retro-futuristic music video for his new single, ‘Love Will Find You.’
In the music video, Findaly plays a performer from the early 1960s who gets beamed as a hologram into the future (which is our current time) to embrace numerous people who are looking for love.
Set to be released in the United States in June 2009, the song is the first single from his upcoming album, ‘Love Will Find You.’ The album was produced by Bernard Butler, who previously worked with Suede.
“I’d already started going back and listening to a lot of records I’d grown up on, like Elvis Presley, soul music, doo wop, Phil Spector, The Righteous Brothers and the like,” explains Findlay Brown of how ‘Love Will Find You’ came together while he was stuck on his sister’s couch nursing a broken leg after being run over by a cab.
“I had an idea about making a modern record influenced by the songwriting of the late 50’s and early 60’s. I just started writing, trying to work out what made a universally great song, like ‘Stand By Me’. These new songs are the first part of that process.”
