McDonald's recently unveiled a new collection of Signature Crafted Recipes, which includes a trio of sandwiches that are served with a unconventional fast food fork.
The new Signature Crafted Recipes sandwich menu includes options like Pico Guacamole, Sweet BBQ Bacon and Maple Bacon Dijon, each of which is served with an assortment of gourmet toppings. Since the idea is that some toppings will inevitably fall off of the loaded sandwiches, McDonald's is providing a 'Frork' to pick up any stray pieces. The Frork is a silicone utensil that includes a space for three to four fries to be slotted in, effectively creating the prongs of a fork. McDonald's is calling its Frork "Uselessly Useful" in its official tagline.
For St. Patrick's Day this year, McDonald's also experimented with the creation of a 3D-printed drinking straw to go with its Chocolate Shamrock Shake.
