McDonald's Launched Churro and Masala McShaker Fries

McDonald’s Canada has introduced two new globally-inspired flavors to its World Famous Fries lineup: the Churro McShaker Fries and the Masala McShaker Fries. The Churro McShaker Fries combine the sweet tastes of sugar, cocoa, and cinnamon with the salty fries, inspired by the traditional Spanish dessert. Each serving contains 370 calories and includes 17g of fat, 51g of carbohydrates, and 4g of protein. The Masala McShaker Fries offer a savory blend of classic curry-inspired tastes, including cinnamon, cardamom, cumin, cayenne pepper, and garlic. This variant also provides 370 calories per serving, with 17g of fat, 50g of carbohydrates, and 4g of protein. Both flavors are available for a limited time and come with a seasoning packet that customers add to a bag of fries and shake to mix.

In conjunction with the launch of these new flavors, McDonald’s Canada is running a promotional event known as the Frycon promo. This interactive campaign encourages customers to find Frycons—iconic fry-shaped icons with codes—and enter them in the McDonald’s app for a chance to win free McShaker Fries and other prizes. The promotion runs from May 28 to June 28, 2024, and offers three types of prizes: fries, offers, and points. The Frycon promo is part of the McDonald’s Frequent Fryer Program, which rewards customers for their engagement and offers exclusive deals through the app. The McShaker Fries are a limited-time offering, and the Frycon promo adds an element of gamification to the customer experience, potentially increasing app engagement and customer visits during the promotional period.
