Joining its partners and supporters throughout the moth of October every year, the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) aims to educate the public about Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM).
This year, the organization partnered with the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) to create a #Every1KnowsSome1 DVAM awareness campaign. The campaign was launched alongside a #GiveForDV initiative for Giving Tuesday across the United States, focusing on increased donations from the public, volunteer participation and overall community involvement.
Both the #Every1KnowsSome1 DVAM campaign and its accompanying Giving Tuesday initiative aimed to raise domestic violence awareness with simple and direct messaging that was posted across social media channels. NNEDV's long term goal is to "build GiveForDV into a larger movement to mobilize charitable support for domestic and sexual violence programs at the local, state, territorial, and national level."
