The Government of Saskatchewan has launched the second phase of a public awareness campaign to address interpersonal violence and abuse. The campaign, called "Face the Issue," focuses on addressing the underlying attitudes and behaviors that contribute to this issue. It features a video with three vignettes showcasing different forms of interpersonal violence and abuse. The video will be available on major television stations and social media platforms and will be translated into Cree, Dene, and French.
The campaign is meant to raise awareness about the different forms and signs of interpersonal violence and to encourage people to speak up against it. The government is also investing resources to reduce and prevent interpersonal violence and abuse through legislation, protocols, policies, programs, and services. This includes providing funding for a range of prevention and intervention services for victims, children, and offenders, as well as developing new tools and services to support victims.
