MAC Cosmetics has supported the transgender community for many years and now it is bringing the cause to the forefront with a new documentary series detailing the lives of those who identify as transgender and non-conforming.
The new documentary series is being written by Jen Richards, who is know for her work on 'Her Story' and directed by Silas Howard, who has directed episodes of the Amazon series 'Transparent.' The new series focuses on transgender and non-conforming individuals by going beyond the scope of gender to look at their everyday lives. The series also touches on important issues facing the transgender community such as violence, discrimination, homelessness and HIV/AIDS.
Set to debut in June, the series will follow up MACs recent collaboration with Caitlin Jenner on a charitable lipstick called 'Finally Free.'
