Streetwear imprint Ground Y recently launched its latest collaborative collection, this time alongside Yohji Yamamoto spotlighting the manga series Devilman. The new capsule features a plethora of genderless silhouettes and explores the manga's themes of existential concepts, resulting in a dark graphic design language.
The manga is created and drawn by Go Nagai in 1972 to question that it means to be human. The series follows the protagonist's journey battling demons in a supernatural world, exploring the idea of “introspecting the established concept between kind and evil.” The collection boasts an all-black color palette and features silhouettes including hoodies, jackets, and oversized tees. It features characters including Syrene, Zenon, and Fudodaki.
