There are many different kinds of savory foods that have inspired deceptive desserts and Life Raft Treats was inspired by fried chicken for its deceptive ice cream treats. Not Fried Chicken ice cream was created by Chef Cynthia Wong, a six-time finalist for the James Beard Awards’ Outstanding Pastry Chef and it boasts a drumstick shape and a crispy crushed coating of cornflakes. On the inside, the deceptive ice cream treats contain white chocolate "meat" and a chocolate-covered cookie in place of a chicken bone. The ice cream is made with locally-farmed dairy, egg and other high-quality ingredients.
The unusual ice cream treats are packaged in individual pouches that, at first, seem to contain a drumstick when opened.
