The Co-operatives Fortnight is a UK-Based Campaign
Tiana Reid — May 16, 2013 — Social Good
Co-operatives Fortnight was launched in 2010 and attempts to draw attention to the United Kingdom's growing co-op industry while at the same time supporting those already in the sphere.
This year, the national campaign will focus specifically on consumer awareness, that is, on attracting the mainstream to the definition of co-operative and also to its particular positive consequences. With that said, there will be numerous vendors, products, stores and services representing themselves and their collaborative work at this year's campaign, which runs from June 22 until July 2013. Thus, co-op businesses and their employees are again encouraged to take part as a marketing mechanism. They are also working on a collaborative film project of short videos.
