Modern Danish studio Norm Architects designs and builds a chic, elegant, and contemporary countryside home in Suffolk, United Kingdom. The silhouette of the cozy holiday home is the epitome of a modern and minimalist aesthetic. The frame of the structure is very slim and lightweight. The architectural firm relied on a simple steel-frame form. To optimize the views of the countryside, Norm Architects inserted floor-to-ceiling windows. Larch cladding elegantly accents the exterior. The contemporary countryside home is officially dubbed 'Pavilion House.'
Taking into consideration the use of the dwelling—a restful getaway—Norm Architects embraced the theme of "tranquility and simplicity" in the design of the Pavilion House.' The firm stated that the design of the house "doesn't try to compete with [nature], but frames it instead."
