Swiss design firm Bureau A stuns architecture enthusiasts with a compact cabin that is designed to resembles a hillside rock. The mountainside home is designed by Leopold Banchini and Daniel Zamarbide and is located in the gorgeous Swiss Alps region.
While the home resembles a giant boulder at first glance, it is revealed to be a compact cabin, equipped with an eat-in kitchen and bedroom space. The home boasts collapsible wood furnishings that are folded out of its walls.
When not in use, these surfaces can be folded up to increase space and decrease clutter. Fans of cottage life and nature will appreciate this compact cabin that will make one question reality. The rock-resembling home is accented with one small window and was carved from a larger volume and placed on its site during construction.
