Canadian design studio Omar Gandhi Architects finishes the Rockbound home, which is a cedar-wrapped residence that is made with influence from the look of scattered boulders. It trails downwards to the seaside and is located in Hubbards, Nova Scotia. The Rockbound home rests on top of a rocky and sloped site that connects to Peggy's Cove, an iconic historic site in the country.
The space hosts three bedrooms and is home to a couple who are looking to add a space for an aging parent. Omar Gandhi, principal of the studio notes, "The exterior is extremely minimal in its massing. It was important that if we were going to veer from the more traditional homes of the area, we maintain a simple and quiet modernist language."
