The Hermitage cabin designed by Italian architecture studio Llabb is the perfect off-grid retreat that overlooks the Trebbia Valley right by Genoa. It is surrounded by scenic views of the Apennine Mountains right by the edge of a hill. It has a minimal wooden design sn is built for "contemplation and introspection" with only a small space of 12 square meters.
It draws inspiration from the look of Japanese tea homes and Scandinavian cabins. It rests on top of four supports made from wood and steel, standing on a base of sandstone beds. Luca Scardulla, founder of Llabb states, “The basicness of construction, the minimal impact on the land, and the use of natural materials that can be easily sourced locally enable a respectful installation in natural contexts. These Hermitages put human beings back in touch with nature by lightening the anthropization load that marks all building activities,”
