Portland, Oregon-based Ecliptic Brewing has gone about creating a collaborative beer with Seattle-based Reuben's Brew, combining the best and most unique qualities of the two India Pale Ale (IPA) brews to create something truly spectacular.
The 'CRI-STAR IPA' happens to be a blend of the Ecliptic Starbust IPA and the Crikey IPA from Rueben's Brew, and a venerable member of Ecliptic Brewing's Cosmic Collaboration Series.
The end result is a beverage that makes use of six different varieties of hops, namely Citra, Centennial, Mosaic, Simco, Amarillo and Azacca. Hoppiness aside, this collaborative IPA also offers hints of arboreal pine and fresh citrus in a truly delicious package that comes in at 6.8 percent alcohol by volume (ABV). This particular beer is sold in four-packs of 16-ounce cans.
