Portland, Oregon-based Ecliptic Brewing has teamed up with none other than the Chico, California-based Sierra Nevada Brewing in order to launch the latest and greatest in the two breweries 'Cosmic Collaboration' line in the form of the Secchi Hoppy Wheat Ale.
This particular wheat ale comes in at 6.5 percent ABV (alcohol by volume) and 55 IBU (International Bitterness Units). The brew was crafted with the use of pale and wheat malts, with a quadrant of hops of the Amarillo, Citra, McKenzie and Strata varieties lending it fragrance and hoppy goodness. The use of zesty lemon peel and fresh orange help add a pleasing citrus character to the brew.
Named after a mountain range on the moon, the Secchi Hoppy Wheat Ale is a pleasingly fruit-forward offering.
