Chapman Skateboards has collaborated with New Museum to produce a deck inspired by a building. As stated on DesignBoom and according to the designers, "this deck’s unique design is as much a nod to the ingenuity of skate culture as it is a tribute to the narrow, skated backstreets of the neighborhood the New Museum calls home. "
The deck takes on an irregular shape, and is made from maple wood and a high quality paint mix. Overall the board is quite geometric in shape, with plenty of right angles and indents that add to its distinct nature. The question is whether or not avid skateboarders will take to this design - if so they have to move fast because only a limited number will be made.
