Australian design studio Dane Taylor Design finished the Bush Studio design, which is a garden room with multiple purposes located in New South Wales. It boasts a compact structural design that is made from form clad in charred wooden materials.
The project was commissioned by a couple who run a child-psychology clinic nearby and the garden studio is a private space for studying and as a retreat for their teenage daughter. The studio took on a minimal approach to its design. The studio director Dane Taylor explains that "The existing dwelling sits at the front of the block, with a meandering suspended path connecting the two. This journey from house to studio gently introduces the occupant back into nature from the built environment."
