The 'Blushing Bar' is an ultra-modern yet naturally-inspired furniture design that looks to incorporate a series of elements for supporting mixologists of all experience levels. The bar has been designed in collaboration between architects Chan + Eayrs and the Sebastian Cox design studio, and was initiated by the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), Europe. The unit is characterized by its circular design instead of a traditional linear aesthetic, which will work to put all essentials within reach for the mixologist without having to run back and forth.
The experimental 'Blushing Bar' was explained by AHEC European Director David Venables who said, "The bar is a perfect example of what can be accomplished by bringing together the best of design, creativity and craftsmanship. The special finish achieved by injecting ink into the wood’s cell structure is a first for a design product. It was exciting to be part of something experimental."
