The 'Rat's Piss' beer sounds more than a little off-putting, but its packaging makes up for the unappealing beer name. The team at the Buddy Creative agency challenged themselves to design and brand its own beer. This project gave the agency a chance to learn about the brewing process and otherwise indulge a love for both beer and design.
The beer's bottle caps have rats imprinted on them and while these creatures are typically not appealing, they are charming in this case. The bottles feature a beautiful typographic treatment, which takes some of the harshness out of the name. As The Dieline points out, there is "humor and juxtaposition of the elegant type and the brew's name."
