The Grand Rapids Community College has created the new Craft Brewing, Packaging and Service Operations Certificate program to help get students ready for the beer industry. Given the booming beer market that's prevalent in Michigan, the College created the program to help get students ready for the industry that is showing significant growth across the nation.
The new program at the Grand Rapids Community College isn't the first of its kind, but the College is the first to have its own brewpub. Here, students of the College can come and taste the creations of their fellow classmates, which in turn can help to support the educational experience for the brewers.
