The Beefeater Grapefruit gin has been announced by the Pernod Ricard-owned spirit brand as an extra-juicy option that's positioned as the perfect choice for the upcoming spring and summer seasons for crafting refreshing cocktails.
The spirit is distilled in a traditional copper still and features the signature recipe of Beefeater London Dry at its base, which has been elevated with grapefruit flavors. This helps to impart a citrus taste profile, while also helping the depth and complexity of the botanicals in the recipe to shine through. The spirit comes in with a 37.5% ABV.
Beefeater Master Distiller Emeritus Desmond Payne commented on the new Beefeater Grapefruit gin saying, "The use of grapefruit is certainly not something that is new to me and the team, being used to craft our premium expressions Beefeater 24 and Crown Jewel. It is the perfect complement to juniper, its sharpest collaborator, whilst providing the perfect stage for our iconic citrus profile. Consumers don’t have to decide between the old and new. Instead, they can choose Beefeater Grapefruit, a pioneering spirit with over 200 years of London craft on its side.”
