Dutch design imprints Space Encounters works in collaboration with Studio Vincent Architecture on the new BD House, which is an extension of a villa that was originally built in the 50s. It is detailed with a new brick garden pavilion that is added to create the feeling of "living in the forest" as described by the studios.
The architects state that "The design of BD House became a layered transformation in which cultural heritage, sustainable transformation, and the rich natural qualities of the area confluence. [The home] has not only been enlarged but has also been made future-proof, contributing to the larger transformation of the countryside in which the existing housing stock is becoming more sustainable and adapted to demands for contemporary living."
