Poppy Booth's Approach to Societal Issues is Curious & Quirky
Kalin Ned — July 16, 2018 — Pop Culture
Poppy Booth -- a graduate of Kingston University in London, undertakes a curious, engaging and a highly relatable approach to societal issues. The creative is strongly inspired by "the anti-consumerist work of Italian modernist designer Enzo Mari." As a result, Booth creates two forward-thinking objects that subtly offer a commentary on political engagement and opinionated discourse.
The first of the design-driven objects is a Megaphone for Introverts that allows individuals to speak their mind with privacy since the item boasts a face-covering plate. The second is a Nihilist Soapbox. The object is often utilized by activists as a pedestal. Since being a nihilist means that one perceives life as meaningless, the soapbox doubles as a carry-all box.
