There’s something pure and beautiful about a ballerina; perhaps that’s why Alexey Novikov’s ‘Dance Session One’ photo set is so powerful. Novikov’s shoot takes place in an abandoned building. The ballerina’s white tutu, leotard and tights only add to her innocence—especially when she’s surrounded by decay, peeling paint and other detritus.
