Nike obviously sees AR as a powerful tool for footwear as it recently released an AR tease for the upcoming Air Jordan 11 Concord sneakers. Unveiled inside the Nike SNKRS app, the Air Jordan 11 Concord tease expands the AR capabilities of the app beyond helping in "the hunt" or serving as an "unlock trigger." Rather, the AR tease aims to "enhance the shopping experience" for all users.
To access the AR tease, users simply need to find the shoe, tap a camera button, and tap a flat surface to 'pin' the sneakers and walk around them. Of course, this won't be the same as actually putting the sneakers on, but it is much better than simply staring at photos and wondering if you'll like the style.
