Air Garden by Ball-Nogues Studio is located in LAX airport, and was put together to provide a tranquil relief from the hectic atmosphere that dominates the building.
The design is made from metal beaded chains, all done in different colors. The result is a cloud-like installation that float over a light well in the airport, allowing people to take in the design from below. From afar, Air Garden looks like it's made from tiny pieces of colored string, due to how thin the metal beads are. The advantage of this installation is that people can observe and interpret the meaning of the artwork however they see fit, or simply take in its beauty.
Air Garden provides a sense of relaxation in a busy hub.
