Maltesers & Google Cloud Created AI Cakes with a Machine Learning Model

Maltesers partnered with Google Cloud to create AI Cakes and test them against The Great British Bake Off winner Peter Sawkins. Sawkins was tasked with creating a recipe of his own to challenge the AI-generated recipe for the purpose of seeing "who can invent the most innovative and imaginative cake."
While Google Cloud engineers created a machine learning model to combine insights from Google Search Trends and hundreds of existing recipes, Sawkins created Maltesers Entremets with a crunchy base, a liquid caramel center, plus malted milk powder and mousse. The Maltesers AI Cakes combines a cookie and a cake and it's topped with Marmite-infused buttercream frosting to reflect top searched questions.
Bakers are being challenged to come up with their own creations as part of the #BakeAgainstTheMachine challenge.
