Agora is a Democratic & Online Community-Based Beverage Company
Laura McQuarrie — May 14, 2014 — Marketing
Agora is a new company that describes itself as a "democratic beverage startup," where all members of its online community get a say in how everything runs. In essence, the goal is to replace the traditional role of a CEO with a crowdsourcing group.
The online community shows information like the numbers of bottles sold, cash available and outstanding payments—the community deals with all of this and decides what to do with the profits.
As of now, Agora's first product is in the final stages of development. From here, the community will help to finalize beverage packaging, sales strategies and even the drink formula. There are different roles within Agora, but anyone can sign up and get started as a community member for an equal say at myagora.co.uk.
