This intriguing photography series by Oliver Doran features 50s style fashion and is set on an airstrip. These shots have an air of adventure to them. They feature two well-dressed couples and the viewer gets the impression that these two pairs are enemies.
One of the couples featured in this series dresses entirely in blacks and dark blues, while the other couple dresses in light and earthy tones like whites and browns. Because these shots look like they have been taken right out of a film, there is significance in the colors worn by the models. Bad guys traditionally wear darker clothes, while heroes and heroines dress in lighter colors.
Some of these shots incorporate planes flying over head. This series is aptly named 'The Aviators.'
