For its newest Fall/Winter 2022 offering, luxury French fashion label Casablanca looks to pay homage to the city of Paris, unveiling the 'Le Monde Diplomatique' collection. The expansive new collection draws inspiration from a variety of ornate, vintage looks with references ranging from 50s-era air travel to luxury hotels and the furniture of Pierre Jeanneret.
The air travel-themed garments are a definite standout within the collection. In particular, French tricolor aviation prints are leveraged in a range of pieces, including satin quilted outerwear and several silk items. In addition, pearls, crystals, sequin, and beading are used as visual motifs meant to represent the night sky as seen from an airplane window.
Elsewhere, other pieces are accented with blue and gold hues offering a nod to luxury Parisian hotels, while Jeanneret's design work is evoked via wide-brimmed hats and eye-catching accessories.
