Wired Science trawled the internet and came up with the top ten best animal videos. This proved so successful, their readers sent in even more and they added 10 reader picks.
The videos range from incredible pictures from the wild to absolutely cute pet pictures of a hamster eating popcorn on a piano, another eating broccoli for the first time and a hedgehog trying to eat a carrot.
A ninja cat
How about a hippo as a house pet?
One of the most heartwarming videos is about a forlorn cub discovered in Harrods, London. Two men bought him and they eventually released him back into the wild. When they went back to check on him, he had grown up and even had a pride of his own and yet he had never forgotten the men who rescued him.
This amazing wildlife video shows the tug of war between a herd of buffaloes, lions and crocodiles over a buffalo calf which miraculously survives:
Some monkey business included this gibbon absolutely bent on taunting two baby tigers, swinging down low enough to even tweak their ears but always staying one swing ahead!
Other playful creatures were dolphins who can blow bubble rings for pure amusement simply by whipping their heads quickly.
Also this one polar bear who dropped by to play with dogs.
You’ve seen transformer robots? Check out the transformer owls who can change their appearance in two different ways! The video is in Japanese but it requires no translation.
Then there is the camouflage octopus:
Two giraffes fighting in the wild with twacks using their rubber-like necks!
A piranha bite test which should convince anyone not to go into piranha infested waters!
An African grey parrot shows why they are such amazing talkers:
Super smart dogs who can escape like Houdini, dance and pretty well understand human speech.
Magnets have been found to repel sharks:
Last but not least, chickens who can herd rabbits!!
