From Hangover-Curing Cab Rides to Workout-Encouraging Taxis
Laura McQuarrie — July 29, 2014 — Autos
It's no longer good enough a taxi ride to get you from point A to point B as fast as possible. Sure, there are cabs that have built-in touchscreens on the backs of seats for you to play games or catch up on the news to kill the time, but these campaigns and companies strive to make transportation by taxi far more useful and much more entertaining.
Some examples of really unique taxi services include Kab-U-To Work, which will get you home safely following a night of partying, or the morning after when you're feeling a little hungover. Another offbeat example is Japan's Turtle Taxi, which goes against everything cabs are typically known for by purposely driving extremely slow and taking the scenic route, which is said to be outrageously popular among seniors and pregnant women.
