From Vlogger-Created Fashion Lines to Co-curated Boutiques
Riley von Niessen — September 29, 2017 — Fashion
Highlighted in these September 2017 streetwear trends are edgy editorials, celebrity-designed apparel, and charitable campaigns that combine fashionable garments with fundraising for a good cause.
An example of the latter are the recently released tees from Boiler Room, a global music broadcasting company that's known to celebrate both underground and big artists with its exclusive parties. In order to support those who were affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy, the company collaborated with some creatives to come up with a series of graphic tees that its fans would be interested in. Each of the tees sells for $45 USD, and 100% of the profits from them go towards the victims.
Also featured is Lil Yachty's pop-up in NYC, which is located within a local pizzeria to showcase the theme of the apparel. In addition to giving his fans a chance to get exclusive apparel that celebrates his favorite dish, those who purchased apparel were also given a slice of pizza to curb their cravings.
