From Hip-Hop Guessing Games to Kid-Friendly Coding Robots
Jana Pijak — September 30, 2015 — Life-Stages
These September 2015 toys range from educational fashion dolls to animal-saving stuffed animals -- TY's Cecil the Lion Beanie Baby plush toy contributes proceeds of its sales to the University of Oxford's Wildlife Conservation Research Unit. In addition to this month's tech powered toys like kid-friendly coding robots and app-connected wizard wands, these September 2015 toys also include socially conscious and charitable products.
Whether raising funds for endangered animals or encouraging young girls to be confident in who they are, these products are more thoughtful than the traditional toy. While dolls and stuffed animals are being sold for a good cause, the month's board and card games are borrowing from popular culture.
In addition to hip hop guessing games -- inspired by classic card game 'Guess Who' -- other favorites include detective hunting games that are inspired by Sherlock Holmes stories and real life cases that have been solved by the Scotland Yard.
