From Whale Tail Vodka Branding to Candid Seafood Packaging
Jamie Danielle Munro — May 14, 2014 — Marketing
Seafood packaging isn't the only thing receiving a fishy makeover from graphic designers and advertisers alike. Fish-inspired packaging has made its way to products such as chocolate and even spices, even though the ocean has nothing to do with these types of foods. However, even though this may sound strange, the unique combination is actually quite appealing.
For example, a chocolate brand from New Zealand called Chocolate Fish went with an all-aquatic look for its latest design. The designer managed to make a can even look like a fish by tying a piece of string around the outside and attaching a tail-like material to the end of the sardine container.
These examples go to show how looking outside of one's industry can inspire both interesting products and even packaging designs.
