In Honor of a New Album by No Doubt and the Band's California Roots
Sarah Moore — May 9, 2012 — Pop Culture
After over a decade of 'not speaking,' in the musical sense, a new album by No Doubt is set to be released in September of 2012.
While frontwoman Gwen Stefani has continued to maintain her place in the public eye with the creation of her clothing line L.A.M.B and a solo record release in 2004, the band as a whole has been on a hiatus for years.
Founded in the late 80s, the California quartert assembly featuring vocalist Gwen Stefani, guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Kanal and drummer Adrian Young made a splash on the music scene with hits like 'Don't Speak,' 'Hey Baby,' and 'Hollaback Girl.'
The band is based out of the Orange County district, more specifically Anaheim, California -- a region that has seen its fair share of celebrity endorsements and reality television that have been either loved or mercilessly mocked.
