From Game of Thrones-Inspired Makeup to Fantasy College Courses
Erica Francis — August 10, 2016 — Pop Culture
Game of Thrones-inspired products and ideas seem to be popping up everywhere since the show first launched a few years ago. The fantasy TV drama has a strong fan base and a cult-like following.
For example, the University of Virginia has a literature course dedicated to the Game of Thrones books and the TV series. It's focused on understanding the works and how they correlate. Makeup artist Paolo Ballesteros also came up with an idea based on Game of Thrones, but it was completely different from University of Virginia's use of it. He transformed himself into popular female characters from the show and it's amazing to see because he looks exactly like them after his makeup application is done.
With the final seasons coming in the next two years, one can expect that Game of Thrones-inspired products and services will only begin to multiply.
