From Portable Pig-Themed Rentals to Avocado-Shaped Accommodations

From wooden cabins shaped like pigs to avocado-inspired campers, the August 2019 travel trends reveal that consumers are constantly on the hunt for unique accommodations.
With the rise of Airbnb, there has been a growing number of consumers eschewing hotels and hostels for unusual homes and apartments. In turn, brands have been capitalizing on this shift by creating branded Airbnb experiences. For instance, the UK-based cider company Orchard Pig recently teamed up with Airbnb to create a pig-shaped cabin called the Pig Pod. Similarily, Booking.com decided to celebrate National Avocado Day with an avocado-style camper van called the Avo-Condo.
But perhaps one of the most unique accommodations highlighted by the August 2019 travel trends is the real home of the iconic painter Claude Monet, which can be rented out for a cool $201 USD per night.
