Yannick Martin has put some of the most famous architectural homes into an extremely confined space - a cube to be exact. The architect and designer himself decided to see what these buildings would look like with certain limits put upon them, which is how he came up with the square design.
According to the artist as stated on DesignBoom, "by deforming and stretching the famous dwellings, the observer is able to understand the choices that the architects made concerning proportion and volume, and the decisions they led them to their familiar designs." This helps people see these structures from a different perspective, and will hopefully make people appreciate that architects are constantly working within the confines they are given.
