The shift to working from home for adults and learning from home for children that has taken place over the past several years has led to families spending all their time in a share space, so the 'Broken Home' imagines what can be done to satiate a demand for privacy.
Designed by Integrated Field Co., Ltd. (IF), the home is constructed with an X-shaped frame that sections the space off into four quadrants. These can be utilized by the inhabitants to go about their daily routine without being disturbed, while also helping them to maintain their privacy from others in the home.
The 'Broken Home' makes the most of the limited interior space by utilizing fold-out furnishings to help maintain a minimalist appeal.
