Unisoy Foods' Vegan Jerky is Launching in Small-Scale Snack Packs

At the upcoming Winter Fancy Food Show, Unisoy Foods will be launching a small-scale version of its Vegan Jerky range, which includes a trio of vibrant, plant-based flavors. The miniature one-ounce packages are packed with satisfying Spicy, Teriyaki and Black Pepper flavors, but with greater portability and portion control in mind.

While there are many plant-based vegan jerky products launched on the market with a variety of meat alternatives, these strips are made with textured vegetable protein as the first ingredient.

As well as becoming increasingly disinterested in animal products in general, many health-conscious consumers group meat-based jerky into the "junk food" category and find it unfavorable for its high sodium contents—even if the meat snacks are branded as a portable, high-protein snack.
